TextMeAvy Message Flow
Your Device
Use the TextMeAvy app or manually create a request SMS message.
Satellite Messenger
The request SMS message is sent to a satellite by a satellite messenger device. The satellite and related hardware relay the message to the destination phone number, which is linked to the TextMeAvy server.
TextMeAvy Server
The request SMS is relayed by a third party, to the TextMeAvy server. TextMeAvy then requests a weather forecast as specified by the incoming message. TextMeAvy grabs the relevant avalanche forecast and sends it back to your device.
Satellite Messenger
The avalanche forecast SMS message is relayed via a satellite to the satellite messenger device.
Your Device
Your device receives the avalanche forecast.
